In the Space of a Breath
Before I was I
I was other.
Created yet unborn.
Waiting for that timeless spark
that brought me here,
through the gate between becoming and being.
In the space of a breath
this body caught me
And here I will remain
until
in the space of a breath
I am released.
And after I am I
I will be other.
Created and undying.
For souls are not born.
They enter.
And do not die.
They exit.
All that is just a firefly's blink
against a sea of stars.
